   An egg laid by an ostrich is the largest bird egg on Earth. It can weigh up to 1.9 kg and measure 15 cm long, almost the size of 20 chicken eggs!

It is a semi-aquatic species unique to Australia, but their numbers are declining as a result of bush fires and drought associated with climate change.
